Marble Races - RML Season 2

The Racing Marble’s League (RML) provides a platform for marble race fans to race their best and
fastest marble against one another. We provide the race course, the videography and publishing
of the races for everyone to witness. You the fans provide the marbles. Need help finding a marble?
We have a supplier who will provide a 20% discount to Racing Marble’s League racers. Submit your
registration below and we’ll send the details on how to access this discount.

Schedule: March 1, 2021. This may change but is a target date for now.
Requirements: Marbles need to be made of glass and 5/8″ (or 16mm) in size.

Season 2 Deadline for submitting your marble was 2/19/2021.

• Submit your registration (SEASON  2 REGISTRSTION IS CLOSED. Season 3  registration is now open.)
• A 4 event Try-Out will initiate on the schedule noted above. Each event will be posted on YouTube for everyone to witness.
  * An individual time trial (one-way gravity race with no booster)
  * Timed obstacle course Heat Races
  * Multi-surface timed course Heat Races (includes multiple marble-run tracks, Hot Wheels track, etc.)
  * Timed 6 lap Heat Races with Competition Caution
• Who competes in Season 2 Try-Outs?
• • The Season 1 Champion automatically advances to the Season 2 Races.
  • 2nd and 3rd place champion finishers from Season 1 are automatically entered into the Season 2 Try-Outs.
  • All other Season 1 marbles must register for Season 2 Try-Outs. Season 1 Owners may submit their own marble for Season 2 Try-Outs. Any Season 1 Owner who submits their own marble will also have their Season 1 marble entered by default.
  • All registered marbles who meet the marble submission deadline cutoff will participate in Season 2 Try-Outs
  • Each registered marble will compete in the Try-Outs noted above and for each event a time will be scored and recorded for each marble. The best overall time after 4 events will determine who makes it to the Season 2 Races.
• The top 20 performing marbles will move onto RML – Season 2 Races.
• Mail your marble to us when we request it.
• There will be a total of 6 races in Season 2. Qualifying will be based on timed events.
• Marble Owners should create a social media site specific to their racing marble to make announcements and communicate their successes and failures. (this will not be done on the racingmarbles.net site in Season 2)
• RML will provide a “Meet the Marbles” section on the site for the 21 competing marbles. This will include current season stats for each racing marble.
• RML will provide the rules for Season 2. See example from Season 1 at this LINK.
• Points in Season 2 will not be awarded for the number of Fans or Sponsors.
• There will be additional championship bonus points available
• Top qualifier in each Heat Race will earn 1 bonus point.
• Pole position for the main race will earn 3 points.
• The most laps in the lead during a race will earn 3 points.
• The marble with the most accumulated points at the end of the season will earn the coveted title of “Racing Marble’s League Champion – Season 2”.
